Scout was created to support people who crave exploration but feel uncertain in unfamiliar places and lack an outdoor community. Research into user behavior showed a need for an intuitive space that encourages connection and helps with scheduling, which informed the app’s streamlined interface, dating-app-esque features, and planning systems. This project is significant because it lowers the barrier to nature exploration, encouraging users to build connections with their surroundings and peers in meaningful ways.
